Mr. Arkin has tried several international and domestic related business cases although he prefers attempting settlement through negotiation, or, if unsuccessful through Arbitration or other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods.

Arbitration:

Mr. Arkin is the former Chairman of The North American Branch, Fellow, Chartered Arbitrator and Panelist of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, headquartered in London, as well as a Fellow of the US based College of Commercial Arbitrators. He has served, and is available to serve, as sole or panel arbitrator, advocate and consultant in international business transactional and arbitrations under Ad Hoc, industry schemes and rules of various institutions, (including ICC, ICSID, IRDC, AAA, LCIA, WIPO/OMPI, etc.) in the United States and other countries, dealing with construction, commercial, and industrial disputes.

Alternative Dispute Resolution:

Experienced in mediation and other ADR techniques as alternatives to litigation and arbitration, Mr. Arkin has also served as court-appointed and institutionally appointed settlement judge, mediator and arbitrator in general business, construction and other areas.

Mr. Arkin serves as an attorney in all aspects of general business law, including the negotiating and drafting of agreements relating to acquisitions of domestic and international contracts, licensing, partnerships and joint ventures; commercial real estate and other investments, mediation, arbitration, and litigation of disputes arising out of and relating to the foregoing. His general commercial, company and transactional law practice has been involved not only in the USA, but elsewhere, including, but not limited to: England, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Russia, the Ukraine, Israel, Egypt, India, Iran, Nigeria, Kenya, the Caribbean, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, The Peoples Republic of China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.  He has testified as to the laws of the United States in other countries and in the United States as to the laws of other countries.
